Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

This position plays a crucial role in monitoring suppliers' performance, gathering data to assess their adherence to established standards, and maintaining regular communication with project management to report on supplier progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain close supervision of suppliers' progress in meeting purchase order requirements, focusing on delivery schedules.
  2. Analyze data to evaluate supplier performance against predetermined benchmarks.
  3. Regularly update project management on supplier progress, fostering open communication.
  4. Develop contingency plans to ensure timely project completion.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Work under general guidance, handling varied tasks that may be somewhat challenging but limited in scope.
  • Demonstrate the ability to recommend solutions within defined parameters.
  • Closely collaborate with supervisor or manager, maintaining regular interactions.
  • Work quality reviewed for accuracy and adherence to procedures.
  • Effectively communicate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Show an intermediate understanding of relevant systems, processes, and tools.
  • Possess a degree, accompanied by a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
