We are looking for an experienced QC Officer to work with us.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with specifications and implementing corrective actions when necessary.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections and tests on production to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Operate chemical analysis for products and water in process samples daily.
  • Enforce GMP and sanitation practices, quality policies, and food safety regulations on the shop floor.
  • Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods against specifications.
  • Manage food safety incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare Batch Production Report (BPR) daily as per the plan before shift ends and deliver it to the production officer.
  • Monitor deviations in the facility regarding all quality standards and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in customer complaint investigations and corrective actions with operations and line manager.
  • Support plant equipment calibration program with the Quality Assurance officer.
  • Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.
  • Train operators, helpers, contractual labor, and production officers on GMP, HACCP, and Quality policy following the quality training plan.
  • Determine rejections, MI, hold, and release items.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • University degree preferably in Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field of study.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the food industry with similar processing.
  • Knowledge of international food safety standards and food security standards.
  • Analytical skills, problem-solving, decision-making, and ability to develop corrective actions.
  • Training or knowledge in HACCP, BRC, Internal Audit, and ISO 22000 preferred.
