Executive Manager Position Overview

The Executive Manager plays a pivotal role in leading the development and execution of a company's long-term strategy, ensuring constant awareness of the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new product developments, and standards.

This leadership position is responsible for creating, planning, implementing, and integrating the strategic direction of an organization, overseeing all aspects and departments on a day-to-day basis, including operations. The incumbent must possess sales experience in terms of concrete or readymix.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop a comprehensive company strategy to achieve business objectives.
  • Deliver budgets, business plans, and forecasts for operations, production, sales, and support functions.
  • Create, communicate, and implement the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the overall organization's strategy.
  • Formulate and implement the strategic plan guiding the direction of the business or organization.
  • Evaluate each strategic goal's measurability and describe outcomes numerically.
  • Design or modify the organization structure to facilitate and support operations according to strategic plans.
  • Analyze problematic situations and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
Board Administration and Support:
  • Liaise effectively between management and the Board.
  • Solicit advice and guidance from the Board of Directors when necessary.
  • Ensure Directors are properly informed, providing sufficient information for the Board to form appropriate judgments.
  • Determine the date, time, and location of the annual meeting of shareholders and develop the agenda for the meeting.
  • Develop board agendas and request special meetings of the board when appropriate.
Financial, Tax, Risk, and Facilities Management:
  • Recommend a yearly budget for approval and manage the organization's resources prudently within those guidelines, adhering to current laws and regulations.
  • Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company's legality and business ethics.
  • Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.
  • Ensure expenditures are within the authorized annual budget.
  • Assess principal risks and ensure they are being monitored and managed.
  • Implement effective internal controls and management information systems.
  • Ensure the Company has suitable systems to conduct activities lawfully and ethically.
  • Maintain awareness of material undertakings and activities, as well as external factors affecting the Company, to ensure adequate processes and systems are in place.
People Management:
  • Provide strategic direction to key stakeholders.
  • Develop a staffing plan to meet scheduled production needs.
  • Ensure an optimized workforce in terms of quantity and quality.
  • Contribute to the team by sharing useful or important information.
  • Create a supportive work environment.
  • Participate in management and supervisory meetings when required.
HSE Management:
  • Ensure the workplace meets legal expectations and supports occupational health, safety, and Environment.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.

MBA is an added advantage.

Professional certificate in operations/business management is required.

A minimum of 10-12 years of experience, preferably in ready-mix/concrete, is essential.
