About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Operator to assist in the safe and efficient operation of our plant, supporting production targets.

As a Field Operator, you will perform routine operational tasks under supervision, ensuring safety and procedural standards compliance. You will communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain reliable and trouble-free operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial processes and be familiar with plant equipment, processes, and ongoing activities.

  • You will assist in operating and monitoring process equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • You will monitor and record equipment operational parameters in the field, reporting abnormalities to the Control Room Operator or Supervisors.
  • You will support system start-ups and shutdowns as directed by supervisor.
  • You will assist in pressurizing and depressurizing equipment and pipelines when required.
  • You will regularly check pressure, delta pressure, temperature, and level gauges, reporting irregularities to the CRO.
  • You will follow instructions from the CRO or Supervisors to maintain stable plant operations and support production optimization.
  • You will adhere to QHSE standards and procedures (e.g., LOTO, PTW, TBT, JHA) and ensure proper documentation of tasks.
  • You will participate in training and reviews of operational procedures, offering basic feedback for improvement.
  • You will conduct basic operational and maintenance checks (daily, weekly, monthly) under supervision.
  • You will assist in preparing equipment for maintenance, including isolation, draining, and decontamination.
  • You will ensure accurate and timely handover of information to the next shift team.
  • You will identify and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • You will safely handle and top up chemicals, lubricants, and coolants, collecting samples as directed.
  • You will maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards during and after tasks.
  • You will comply with Emergency Response Team roles and responsibilities as assigned.
  • You will comply with all HR, Quality, HSE, and company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
  • Ensure accurate and timely handover of information to the next shift team
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions to supervisors

Requirements:

  • Minimum technical degree in Industrial Processes, Chemical, Petroleum, or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector
  • Familiar with plant equipment, processes, and ongoing activities
  • General troubleshooting, problem-solving, information analysis, and interpersonal skills
  • General understanding of Plant PFDs, P&IDs, drawings, Cause & Effect matrix, and Fire & Gas detection system philosophy
  • BASIC understanding of Maintenance Management System methodology
  • Computer proficiency is mandatory. Good working knowledge of typical Microsoft suite of software is required.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good English command, written and spoken. Arabic is an asset.
