Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled steward to oversee the smooth operation of our hotel's stewarding department.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising the duties of all stewarding department employees, ensuring the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene are maintained.

You will work closely with the Stewarding Manager to establish minimum and maximum operating par stocks and supplies, and approve storeroom requisitions. Additionally, you will coordinate with the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or Outlet Manager to check their requirements for the day and the next day.

Other key responsibilities include maintaining health inspection records, attendance records, and files on casual employees. You will also take necessary actions to reduce loss of silverware/flatware.

In this role, you will operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.

Our ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, previous experience in stewarding in a supervisory role, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
