Job Title

Aircraft Maintenance Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Instructor to join our team. As an Instructor, you will be responsible for preparing and conducting CAR 147 type training courses, ensuring that all engineering staff receive up-to-date knowledge within company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and conduct CAR 147 approved type training courses and CAR 145 training courses
  • Ensure high-quality course materials, training aids, and presentations align with CAA-DGCAR Oman CAR 66 and 147 requirements and international standards
  • Work closely with the Training Coordinator to schedule and organize training sessions
  • Emphasize and enforce safety protocols during all training activities
  • Conduct aircraft visits as instructed by the Lead Theory Instructor
  • Use CBT and other approved training devices to supplement theoretical elements of the approved course
  • Compile and update course notes and examination question databank to ensure continuous validity of training materials
  • Suggest improvements to enhance training effectiveness
  • Prepare and conduct approved examinations
  • Conduct practical training and assessments to provide hands-on experience with aircraft systems and maintenance procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or EASA part 66 License or ICAO Aircraft Maintenance License
  • Post-graduate degree is an asset
  • Minimum 4 years of engineering/maintenance experience (internal recruits) or 5 years of teaching experience in civil aviation (external recruits)
  • Recognized Certificate of Recognition or equivalent issued by EASA/CAR 147 approved training organization for level III type training on at least one aircraft type
  • Instructional Techniques/Train the Trainer course from an approved training organization
  • Experience in technical training with good knowledge of CAR 66 & CAR 147 CAA Oman Regulations

  • Organized and efficient problem solver and decision-maker
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (preferred)
