Computer System Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer System Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of all computer hardware and software systems.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance: Ensure the timely installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems.
  • Technology Updates: Stay up-to-date with IHG-approved technologies that enhance hotel efficiency and implement them as needed.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance and maintain detailed logs of reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Data and Physical Security: Maintain data and physical security standards to protect our systems from unauthorized access.

Key Accountabilities

  • Software Issues: Investigate and report software issues to the Technology Manager promptly.
  • System Understanding: Develop a thorough understanding of our hotel front office system, point of sale system, and call accounting system, including security measures, reports, and user functions.
  • Disaster Recovery: Be aware of disaster recovery procedures and emergency protocols for inoperable hotel computer systems.
