Drilling and Development Expert

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading drilling operations in Gabon and Cameroon, working closely with the Drilling Superintendent, Contract Drilling Teams, Geologists, and Contract Engineers.
Key Responsibilities include:- Lead engineer for exploration, delineation, and development operations.
- Support the Well Engineering Manager and perform drilling engineering and procedure writing in cooperation with support functions.
- Identify technologies and solutions for optimal drilling methods.
- Undertake special drilling studies on specific topics, covering feasibility studies, generic Field Development Plans, and drilling optimization studies.
- Prepare all input to Well Proposals, TD, Basis Of Design etc. in conjunction with the Support Team.
- Prepare well cost estimates and submit as per procedure.
- Prepare specialist reports on drilling aspects of operations.
- Conduct after action reviews.
- Assist in preparing final well reports.
- Develop and maintain drilling related document archives.
- Provide duty cover and delegate to Well Engineering Manager as requested.
- Input to new drilling policies, procedures, manuals, and guidelines in accordance with corporate standards.
This role requires a strong background in drilling engineering, with experience in leading drilling operations in challenging environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
