Job Title: Director of Marketing Strategy

This role leads a team and oversees content, digital marketing, events, and PR to align with brand objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy, including advertising, signage, and artwork across retail spaces.

  • Manage promotional materials installation, replacement, and removal in line with campaign schedules.

  • Built partnerships with retailers and other businesses to drive sales growth.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to coordinate marketing activities, documentation, and approvals.

  • Approve and review presentations, images, and measurements for retail displays, gondolas, lightboxes, and signage requirements.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality deliverables and efficient turnaround times.

  • Authorize and monitor budget allocations, invoice processing, and LPO issuance for the Marketing Department.

  • Drive supplier selection and cost negotiations to optimize marketing expenditure while maintaining high quality.

  • Maintain proper storage, maintenance, and inventory management of marketing materials and signage.

  • Develop strategic direction for marketing campaigns, events, and activations aligned with business goals.

  • Lead the execution of raffles, sales events, and promotional activities in-store and externally.

  • Manage entry and clearance of marketing materials through airport and customs procedures.

  • Supervise creative design, measurement, and placement of signage across all retail and external locations.

  • Analyze results from mystery shopper programs and implement improvement strategies.

  • Formulate and implement a 6-12 month marketing strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Develop and manage offline events, exhibitions, conferences, seminars.

  • Promote thought leadership through white papers, case studies, blog content, videos, newsletters, webinars.

  • Develop social media strategies across LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, and industry forums.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management & Marketing.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in travel retail, airport duty free Senior Marketing Role.

  • Proven track record of managing multi-site operations and delivering strong sales growth in a high-traffic environment.

  • Experience with P&L management, budgeting, and strategic business planning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Arabic and English).

  • Strong multitasking and project management skills.
