Digital Automation & IT Specialist - Oman

  • Location: Muscat, Oman
  • Contract: Full-Time
  • Salary: OMR 1,400 per month (Net) + Accommodation

We are seeking a Digital Automation & IT Specialist to lead the execution of an ambitious automation and IT strategy. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in RPA, AI-powered OCR, and automation within the Microsoft 365 and Python ecosystem.

The successful candidate will design and implement end-to-end automation workflows, build scalable web interfaces, and optimize IT infrastructure to support innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the management and optimization of IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
  • Drive the automation strategy using RPA bots, AI tools, and modern platforms.
  • Design and launch a secure, user-friendly customer-facing portal with document uploads, service request tracking, and dashboards.
  • Develop backend systems including databases and OCR engines for automated data extraction.
  • Build and deploy automation bots (e.g., Selenium, Power Automate, UiPath) for external and internal workflows.
  • Implement robust logging, audit trails, and error-handling mechanisms.
  • Automate financial operations with AI-driven invoice and data entry processing.
  • Deploy automation solutions for HR functions such as overtime tracking and attendance.
  • Integrate UniFi infrastructure with Microsoft services to create a seamless digital environment.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer for sustainability.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record in automation, RPA, AI-based OCR, and process optimization.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Azure AI Services, Dataverse, and Python.
  • Skilled in developing secure, scalable web interfaces (React, FastAPI).
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure (UniFi/Ubiquiti systems) and PC/VM deployments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to take full ownership of projects.
  • Strong project management and communication skills.
