Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Backend Developer Intern located in Muscat. The Backend Developer Intern will be responsible for assisting in back-end web development, engaging in software development tasks, applying object-oriented programming (OOP) principles, and supporting front-end development when necessary. The role involves collaboration with the development team to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code, ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

You should have:

  • Good proficiency in Python (comfortable with classes).
  • Clean, structured, and efficient coding habits.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Experience with Git.
  • A mindset for learning, taking ownership, and doing things right.
  • Strong documentation and task management habits.

What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting in backend feature development.
  • Working with databases to store and retrieve data.
  • Connecting workflows between different parts of the system.
  • Testing, optimizing, and improving performance.
  • Documenting your work clearly.
  • Managing tasks to meet deadlines.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in working with different LLM models and their APIs.
  • Knowledge in prompt engineering and writing system prompts.
  • Familiar with RAG, Vector Stores, and Vector Retrieval techniques.
  • Experience in training and deploying AI models.
