Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Oman for a Business Development Manager. The individual will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and developing strategies to expand market presence of Parker products and service solutions for Air & Sea Freight Forwarding & brokerage in accordance with the Parker country strategy, budgets and business targets.
Responsibilities
- Mainly responsible for the overall development and oversight of our Oman branch employing relevant business strategies and reaching out to current contacts to achieve targets.
- Drive business growth by securing new contracts, negotiating deals, and forming strategic alliances.
- Possess Updated knowledge of developments in various sectors of the market and performs on-going research in the marketplace for new prospects.
- Communicates, liaises, and negotiates internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
- Attends daily and weekly sales meetings with Sales Manager for reporting and guidance.
Required Education, Experience, Technical Skills
- Graduate in Freight Forwarding Sales / Supply Chain Solutions discipline or similar
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the freight/shipping industry within Oman
• Excellent Negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
•Excellent client / management presentation skills
• Self-starter, persistent and resilient, ability to work under pressure.
