Job Summary

Support the Production Manager or Plant Manager in planning, production, design, and process engineering at the Sohar manufacturing facility to ensure products are manufactured efficiently and with high quality, following planned protocols, utilizing appropriate technology, supporting quality control, and collaborating with management to stay within budget and meet production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  1. Support planning and coordination of daily production processes to ensure high-quality output.
  2. Create job orders and report production in the ERP system.
  3. Coordinate with personnel, vendors, and customers to align production and shipping activities with schedules.
  4. Establish safety procedures and environmental regulations for employees.
  5. Provide engineering support for production and maintenance to maximize output.
  6. Interpret complex product drawings for shopfloor staff.
  7. Assist in preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) estimates for new or existing products.
  8. Update and analyze data to minimize downtime and outages.
  9. Coordinate support across departments for shopfloor activities and priorities.
  10. Work with Shift Leaders and operators to execute shopfloor plans.
  11. Train and guide team members to meet production goals.
  12. Develop best practices to enhance capacity, quality, and reliability.
  13. Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions.
  14. Conduct departmental meetings to discuss updates, policies, and goals.
  15. Ensure employees understand the code of conduct, job descriptions, and product standards.
  16. Coordinate On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new employees.
  17. Perform internal audits per API Q1 and ISO 9001 standards.
  18. Motivate employees to perform professionally and efficiently.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include a B.S. Degree (or higher) in engineering or related technical field, with experience in manufacturing planning, quality assurance, and production activities, preferably in the fiberglass pipe industry. Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus. Experience with composites products and equipment is advantageous.
