Job Description
About the Company

Petroleum Development Oman is the leading exploration and production company in the Sultanate of Oman. The Company delivers the majority of the country's crude oil production and natural gas supply.

Purpose of the Job

To supervise, as a specialist, the organization's overall SAP access control & security controls and standards, focusing on process design, role configurations for SAP ERP landscape, management and improvement of GRC tool deployment, development of segregation of duties (SoD) controls, and ensuring compliance to optimize SAP security within PDO.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or information technology, with related security and/or SAP certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, SAP GRC.
  • Minimum of 10 years in information systems security, controls, and assurance, with at least 5 years specific experience in SAP ERP modules, SAP security, and control standards.
Main Responsibilities
  • Develop SAP security standards, controls, and procedures, especially for user access controls and role administration.
  • Maintain and update SAP security policies and procedures; manage user access to ensure compliance through regular control routines.
  • Monitor SAP security controls, review role configurations, and ensure GRC mitigations are current.
  • Collaborate with business process owners to integrate SAP security controls and GRC rulesets aligned with business processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls related to SAP access and segregation of duties through periodic assessments.
  • Supervise delegation of authority processes in SAP and ensure compliance with the approved structure.
  • Act as a liaison between business owners and SAP support teams, advising on security issues and initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic IT assurance reviews, including ITGC and ISO27001 control assessments.
  • Support audit processes, ensuring documentation and audit trails are maintained.
  • Stay updated on new system functionalities and regulations, recommending best practices.
  • Mentor and develop the GRA team's SAP Security and GRC skills.
  • Develop and report on management KPIs and information reports.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the Head of Governance, Risk, and Assurance.
