Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in corporate insurance management or risk consulting.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products: property, marine, liability, etc.
  • Experience working with insurers, brokers, and claims investigators.
  • Excellent negotiation, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory aspects of insurance in GCC is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel, EBP systems, and insurance management tools.

Job Summary:

The Head of Insurance will be responsible for managing the organization's entire insurance portfolio, ensuring adequate risk coverage across all business units, optimizing premiums, and handling insurance claims efficiently.

  • Assess the company's insurance needs across assets, inventory, operations, and employees.
  • Liaise with insurance brokers, underwriters, and providers for policy placements, renewals, endorsements, and premium negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all active insurance policies and ensure timely renewals.
  • Handle and coordinate end-to-end insurance claims, including documentation, submission, follow-up, and settlement.
  • Conduct periodic insurance audits to verify adequacy of coverage and compliance with policy terms.
  • Review contractual agreements to ensure appropriate risk transfer and insurance clauses.
  • Provide management with regular updates on insurance costs, exposure analysis, and claims status.
  • Monitor regulatory developments related to corporate insurance and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Develop internal SOPs for insurance management and awareness across departments.
