An exciting opportunity has arisen working with a leading conference and exhibition organising company in Oman-Muscat for the position of General Manager – Advertising Agency.

Job Description

Agency Sales and Business Development

  1. Lead agency pitches to prospective clients and grow agency top-line revenue.
  2. Create strategic proposals to promote services.
  3. Manage client relationships effectively.
  4. Identify marketing opportunities and participate in tenders to attract high-value agency projects.
  5. Oversee all communication elements of advertising and marketing, including creative, copy, layouts, and production.
  6. Manage service providers, suppliers, and onsite requirements.
  7. Run day-to-day operations of a full-service integrated ad agency, supervise team output, and troubleshoot issues.
  8. Coordinate the overall budget process, develop annual budget plans, and ensure profitability and monthly targets are met.
  9. Develop and implement marketing strategies to enhance brand image and increase exposure to corporate and government sectors.
  10. Train and develop the team to stay updated with advertising trends, improve proposal quality, and evaluate employee performance.
Manage the Marketing Department and Mentoring
  • Oversee job cards, daily worksheets, creative content, website development, and conceptualization.
  • Approve all creative materials for events and external clients.
  • Implement ideas to ensure smooth departmental operations.
Qualifications and Skills

Language Proficiency: Fluent/Excellent in Arabic and English.

Ownership: Own a car and have a driving license.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Minimum of 4 years managing a profitable, commercially driven advertising and marketing agency with experience in lead generation, collateral development, brand building, and online advertising.
  • Ability to lead a team to meet tight deadlines with high-quality work.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
