Nestled between the dramatic backdrop of rugged mountains and the pristine waters of the Sea of Oman, Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa spans 124 acres of stunning scenery. It comprises three spectacular hotels: the family-oriented Al Waha with 262 rooms, the diverse Al Bandar with 198 deluxe rooms, and the luxurious Al Husn featuring 180 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites. The resort boasts 22 Food and Beverage outlets, a 1,056 sqm ballroom with 8 breakout rooms, a wide variety of recreational facilities, and a spa with 12 treatment villas.

The Food and Beverage Coordinator will provide secretarial services within the Food and Beverage Division office in accordance with standards, policies, and guidelines established by Shangri-La International and the Shangri-La Barr Al Jissah Muscat. The role involves coordinating daily office activities, processing documents accurately, ensuring efficient communication internally and externally, and completing administrative duties as assigned by the Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage and the Executive Chef.

The coordinator must conduct herself professionally and demonstrate commitment to our purpose statement.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate inter-office and intra-departmental communications including telephone, paging, and facsimile systems.
  2. Complete menus, letters, reports, forms, and other documents for the food and beverage office.
  3. Ensure prompt completion and delivery of documents and correspondence.
  4. Maintain office filing systems including alphabetical, chronological, trace, and daily files.
  5. Maintain Director's files including daily, trace, and others.
  6. Manage Director's appointments and schedule.
  7. Maintain overall office organization, presentation, and cleanliness.
  8. Ensure accurate completion of menus, transcripts, and meeting minutes.
  9. Handle communication with purveyors, peers, and other business interactions.
  10. Interact with guests, employees, management, and owners courteously and professionally.
  11. Maintain a positive, result-oriented outlook, striving for personal and professional improvement.
  12. Handle sensitive matters with strict confidentiality.
  13. Follow, implement, monitor, and record environmental policies, procedures, and good practices related to the area of work.
