Nestled between rugged mountains and the pristine waters of the Sea of Oman, Shangri-La's Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa spans 124 acres of stunning scenery. It comprises three hotels: the family-oriented Al Waha with 262 rooms, the diverse Al Bandar with 198 deluxe rooms, and the luxurious Al Husn with 180 elegant guestrooms and suites. The resort features 22 Food and Beverage outlets, a 1,056 sqm ballroom with 8 breakout rooms, various recreational facilities, and a spa with 12 treatment villas.
The Food and Beverage Coordinator will provide secretarial services within the Food and Beverage Division, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and guidelines set by Shangri-La International and the local resort. The role involves coordinating daily office activities, processing documents accurately, maintaining effective communication, and completing administrative duties assigned by the Executive Assistant Manager of Food and Beverage and the Executive Chef.
The coordinator must conduct herself professionally and demonstrate commitment to our purpose statement.
As F&B Coordinator, your responsibilities include:
- Coordinating inter-office and intra-departmental communications, including telephone, paging, and facsimile systems.
- Completing menus, letters, reports, forms, and other documents for the food and beverage office.
- Ensuring prompt completion and delivery of documents and correspondence.
- Maintaining office filing systems, including alphabetical, chronological, trace, and daily files.
- Managing the Director's files, including daily, trace, and other relevant files.
- Maintaining the Director's schedule and appointments.
- Ensuring overall office organization, presentation, and cleanliness.
- Providing accurate completion of menus, transcripts, and meeting minutes.
- Handling communication with purveyors, peers, and other business interactions.
- Interacting with guests, employees, management, and owners courteously and professionally.
- Maintaining a positive, result-oriented attitude, with a focus on personal and professional improvement.
- Handling sensitive matters confidentially and discreetly.
- Following environmental policies, procedures, and good practices relevant to the role.
