Technology Learning & Development Head (Technology Academy)

We have an urgent requirement for the position of Technology Learning & Development Head (Technology Academy) with our banking client in Muscat, Oman.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in collaborating with stakeholders across Technology, IT Audit, IT Security Risk Management, and Human Resources to align the academy's strategy with the bank's objectives is MUST.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing learning and development initiatives within a Bank Technology function.
  • Experience in delivering complex and high-profile L&D programs to a technical workforce.
  • Vendor management and budget management expertise.
  • Skills gap analysis within a technology team.

The position is a direct and permanent role within the bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Skills Gap Analysis: Conduct comprehensive skills gap analyses to evaluate current capabilities, identify development areas, and inform targeted learning interventions.
  2. Strategy Development & Implementation: Develop and execute strategies for the Technology Academy aligned with organizational goals.
  3. Technology Function Expertise: Understand and address the specific learning needs of various technology functions.
  4. Policy & Process Leadership: Establish and drive policies and processes aligned with organizational policies.
  5. Customized L&D Strategies: Create tailored learning strategies and curricula to enhance workforce capabilities.
  6. Strategic Integration: Align learning initiatives with the organization's vision, values, and strategic pillars.
  7. Innovative Learning Channels: Implement innovative learning technologies and channels.
  8. Supervisory Skill Development: Equip managers with mentoring and coaching skills.
  9. Program Implementation: Oversee the timely and quality execution of learning programs.
  10. Budget & Vendor Management: Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and maintain vendor relationships.
  11. Learning Effectiveness Analysis: Evaluate and improve the impact of learning programs.
  12. Focal Point for Enquiries: Serve as the primary contact for academy-related inquiries.
  13. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on learning trends and incorporate relevant innovations.
