We have an urgent requirement for the Technology Learning & Development Head (Technology Academy) with our banking client in Muscat, Oman.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in collaborating with stakeholders across Technology, IT Audit, IT Security Risk Management, and Human Resources to align the academy's strategy with the bank's — must be demonstrated.
  • Proven experience in designing and executing learning and development initiatives within the Bank Technology function.
  • Ability to deliver complex and high-profile L&D programs to a technical workforce.
  • Experience in vendor and budget management.
  • Skills in conducting skills gap analysis within a technology team.

This is a direct and permanent position with the bank.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive skills gap analyses to evaluate current capabilities and inform targeted learning interventions.
  2. Developing and implementing strategies for the Technology Academy aligned with organizational goals.
  3. Understanding various technology functions to tailor training programs accordingly.
  4. Setting policies and processes for the Technology Academy in line with overall organizational policies.
  5. Creating customized L&D strategies and curricula to enhance workforce capabilities.
  6. Integrating strategic organizational goals into learning initiatives.
  7. Implementing innovative learning channels and technologies.
  8. Training supervisors and managers to mentor and coach their teams.
  9. Overseeing the effective implementation of learning programs.
  10. Managing budgets and vendor relationships efficiently.
  11. Analyzing learning effectiveness and recommending improvements.
  12. Serving as the primary point of contact for all academy-related inquiries.
  13. Staying updated on latest learning trends and technologies.

Skills required: stakeholder collaboration, program implementation, learning and development, learning effectiveness analysis, vendor management, technology, L&D program delivery, budget management, skills gap analysis, policy leadership, strategy development.
