The Head of Corporate will be responsible to lead the entire Corporate Department, which involves growing business in terms of the finance, deposits and income from the company's Corporate/ SME target markets. The job includes continuous enhancement of the breadth and depth of product lines to achieve and sustain competitive positioning in the target markets.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Retail in the development and implementation of National Finance Corporate and SME Business strategy.
  • Ensuring revenue potential is realized in a cost effective, low risk manner and Corporate/ SME portfolio is developed in line with the company strategy.
  • Liaise and provide leadership to RMs and the unit heads in areas of expertise
  • Ensure effective coaching, training, and communication with unit heads and RM's to support the company targets.
  • Manage the customers relationships to ensure retention.
  • Manage the development and implementation of market best practices across all department activities to promote efficiencies.
  • Ensure the provision of value-added corporate products and services to existing and new customers.
  • Endeavour to enhance, maintain and deepen relationships with the existing corporate/ SME customers as well as build new relationships.
  • Manage, control, monitor and assume responsibility for corporate/ SME portfolio by Risk, Segment, Product, and other parameters on periodic basis
  • Monitor / Review the corporate/SME portfolio
  • Ensure that Corporate Department comply with the company policies and procedures and recommend the necessary modifications/changes to guarantee compliance.
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the company
  • Take leading role in understanding of external & internal environment and ensure that the same is captured in business planning process.
  • Maintain key relationships with external business partners e.g. Central Bank of Oman, Auto Dealers, Insurance Providers, Media Agents etc.. and to be invested upon any problem or escalation.
  • Ensure that the GM – Business is informed of significant corporate/SME issues that may jeopardize the achievement of business goals.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.
  • Hold meetings with direct reports and assess their performance as well as department's overall performance on a regular basis.
  • Take decisive action to ensure speedy resolution of staff unresolved grievances or conflicts within the team.
  • Identify related areas for professional development of self and others and ensure that branch staff are provided with adequate training.
  • All other ad hoc duties/or activities related to National Finance the line manager request the employee from time to time.

Qualifications

·Bachelor/ Masters (Preferred) in a business or related field.

·At least 10 years' experience in financial/ Banking services or related fields, with at least 5 years in a senior managerial capacity.

·Well-informed of the market competitive structure, industry practices and regulations for corporate/ SME business.
