• To assist the Head of Government Banking in building and developing strong banking relationships and managing accounts of Ministries, other Government and Quasi-Government Institutions, and Pension Funds in alignment with the bank's strategy and goals.
• Support the Head of GB in managing relationships with Ministries and other Government entities.
• Explore potential new business opportunities, including mobilizing low-cost deposits, acquiring new client accounts, and achieving set targets.
• Manage the existing portfolio of Ministries, Government, Quasi-Government Institutions, and Pension Funds accounts.
• Coordinate with branch managers to ensure effective management of all accounts related to Ministries and Government entities.
• Offer specialized financial services to Ministries and Government Employees, coordinating with Wholesale and Retail Banking, and liaising with Treasury on forex and interest rates.
• Collaborate with the Head of Government Banking and head office departments to identify cross-selling opportunities for bank products and services.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with Government Ministers and Departments, ensuring branches deliver required services.
• Conduct regular visits to Ministries and Government institutions to review feedback and address complaints.
• Keep the database of all Ministry and Government accounts updated.
• Serve as the primary contact point between the Bank and Government/Quasi-Government institutions.
Language skills required: Arabic and English – Fluent/Excellent.
• Own a car and possess a valid driving license.
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma with at least 8 years of banking experience in related fields, or
- Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of relevant banking experience.
General Requirements / Skills / Competencies:
- Omani nationality preferred.
- Understanding of bank policies and marketing strategies.
- Strong sales and marketing skills.
- Excellent executive contacts and relationship management skills.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English with effective communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Self-motivated, proactive, innovative, and dynamic.
