Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of piping systems. They work within the fertilizer, chemicals, oil, and gas industries. Their role ensures the safety and efficiency of these critical infrastructure components.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work on static and rotary equipment as per requirement
  • Managing mechanical aspects during plant shutdowns and start-ups, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment
  • Supervise site operations for seamless maintenance execution
  • Optimize workforce coordination and resource management
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to foster continuous improvement.
  • Addressing and resolving mechanical issues that may arise during mechanical parts removal and reinstallation, refractory replacement, refractory repair, piping and replacement
  • Manage maintenance backlog, defect elimination, and reliability enhancement
  • Collaborating with other departments (electrical, civil) to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components
  • Achieve the daily target and attend the daily internal meeting and client meetings
  • Preparation of open flame and hot work of piping and structure arranging the daily toolbox talk in the field
  • Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Adequate knowledge in selected and specific materials

Qualification, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Ability and 5-8 years' experience in Fertilizer, Chemicals, Oil & Gas in Piping Maintenance/repair/replacement
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Strong Technical acumen in Piping, Maintenance, repair, and replacement, Excellent leadership
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
