Role Purpose

To lead the Digital Apps and Platforms audit function within Omantel and integrate with Commercial/Functional audit to provide optimal assurance.

Minimum role requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Network, or relevant discipline. Certifications such as CISA / CIA are highly preferred.
  • Minimum 6 years of total work experience.
Key Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with Audit Planning & Performance to develop an audit plan covering all digital apps and platforms used within Omantel, ensuring integration with Commercial & Functional Audit.
  • Lead and execute audit engagements as per approved audit plan and ad hoc requests from line management.
  • Maintain open communication and effective relationships with management to facilitate transparency and timely advice.
  • Follow up on initial audit requirements, process understanding documents, risk and controls matrices, and audit programs, submitting them for review.
  • Verify completeness of audit working papers, ensure proper documentation, and submit for review.
  • Develop draft IA reports and participate in closing meetings to discuss findings, recommendations, and management responses.
  • Immediately notify the GM of any weaknesses or issues with material impact or significant risk.
  • Lead the development of final IA reports, resolving any disagreements with management.
  • Lead and mentor the digital apps and platforms audit team, promoting professional growth and high performance.
  • Support investigations related to Omantel.
  • Provide information for audit committee reporting.
  • Follow up on audit findings and report to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Align audit activities with best practices and governance frameworks.
  • Assist the GM with advisory services related to Digital Apps & Platforms as needed.
