We have an urgent requirement for a Technical Lead - Digital Channel (Mobile Banking) for our banking client in Oman

Experience in mobile banking application implementation process: Must

Mobile app experience with iOS, Android & HarmonyOS: Must

Proficient in Java/J2EE, SQL, Microservices, and integration technologies (SOAP/REST/MQ/TCP-IP): Must

Expertise in containerization technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and On-Prem environments: Must

Responsibilities

The Technical Lead - Digital Channels is responsible for projects and changes in Digital Channels Applications of the bank. These include:

  • Mobile Banking Engagement Layer (UI/UX or Presentation layer)
  • Mobile Banking Digital Spine (Micro-service layer)

Overall Responsibilities: Lead projects and changes of digital channel applications. Prior experience in mobile banking application implementation is essential. The candidate should have mobile app experience with iOS, Android & HarmonyOS, and good exposure to UI/UX development technologies like Flutter & React Native. Proficiency in Java/J2EE, SQL, Microservices, and integration technologies is required, along with experience in surround system integration and database management systems like Oracle, MS SQL Server & MySQL. Hands-on experience in SQL & PL/SQL is necessary. Expertise in containerization (OpenShift, Kubernetes) and On-Prem environments is mandatory.

The candidate should support SIT, UAT, Security Testing, and Performance testing during project phases, be familiar with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies, and lead daily scrum calls. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is required. Responsibilities also include evaluating vendor deliverables, data migration, application/server/infrastructure upgrades, and troubleshooting application issues. Support for end-to-end testing and production implementation is necessary.

The individual will use communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to understand business requirements, document test strategies, and support banking architecture. Post-production support, project management, ensuring compliance, and continuous improvement are key aspects of the role.

Principal Accountabilities

System Maintenance: Ensure application availability, undertake maintenance, and perform root cause analysis for issues.

System Enhancements: Set milestones, coordinate with teams and vendors, review architecture and design, and evaluate emerging technologies.

Projects: Support digital transformation and change management initiatives.

Personnel Specifications

Minimum 7+ years of experience in IT with extensive knowledge of digital channels applications in banking. Must have high-level programming skills, system development experience, knowledge of SDLC, and current industry technologies. Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate should be familiar with iOS development, PL/SQL, Agile methodologies, UI/UX development, Android development, React Native, Jenkins, Flutter, risk and audit compliance, OpenShift, Kubernetes, SQL, SOAP, REST, Waterfall methodologies, database management (Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL), application support, Java, J2EE, microservices, TCP/IP, GitLab CI/CD, and mobile banking application implementation.
