Responsible to host and serve all guests, ensuring they have an exceptional drinking & dining experience; creating lasting memories and building relationships. You will bring our bar concepts to life by using your personal flair and style when interacting with our guests.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the delivery of brand promise and provide exceptional guest service at all times, reinforcing Hyatt's Values and culture characteristics.
  • Follow the Cycle of service of Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi.
  • Follow all skills trained in the departmental core Training.
  • Take care of the equipment as if it were your own.
  • Know the daily targets and projections.
  • Attend lunch and dinner brief with restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for reservations (e.g., parties).
  • Be fully conversant with all services, offers, promotions and facilities offered by the hotel.
  • Communicate effectively between all internal workplace restaurant departments i.e., managers, kitchen staff, bar tenders.
  • Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems, including par levels as set by the management.
  • Adhere to the correct restaurant pathways.
  • Alert any potential problems to your direct supervision, where possible before they arise.
  • Attend all training where required, having an avid interest in learning and education surrounding their venue and products.
  • Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employee Handbook and the Hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Update guest notes 100%, i.e., make detailed guest notes after service on each of your own tables.
  • Be charismatic and make conversation easily and with an array of people.
  • Be driven by achieving a rounded sales experience, using selling skills as trained.
  • Able to effectively manage their dedicated working areas and delegate where appropriate.
  • Meet sales and spend forecasts.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the local industry.
  • Follow international and local Bar and Drink trends.
  • Closely follow and complete opening and closing procedures and checklists for the bar and obtain a manager signature.
  • Serve alcohol responsibly and report any concerns to duty manager immediately.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of cocktail recipes and drink preparation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
