Drilling Operations Specialist

Our client is seeking a drilling professional who will act as the company representative on the rig site. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and cost-efficient execution of all drilling or workover activities in accordance with the programme.

Job Description

The role involves constructing and delivering high-quality wells through drilling, workover, and/or completion as per the programme, in a cost-effective and safe manner. The individual will manage the wellsite organization, including wellsites, drilling contractors, sub-contractors, and service companies, to ensure wells are delivered efficiently.

Additional responsibilities include managing operations conducted by the rig under their control, following drilling or workover programmes, adhering to company standards, implementing the DTL process during drilling, and promoting a DTL working culture among the wellsite team to improve performance annually.

Requirements
  • University degree in engineering or sciences
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a drilling supervisor
  • Good understanding of process management
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral) and strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in well engineering software (EDM, well planning, stress check, etc.)
  • At least 6 years of experience as a drilling supervisor within a total of 10 years in drilling operations
