Restaurant Operations Manager

The Restaurant Operations Manager plays a vital role in achieving business objectives by overseeing the daily operations of a restaurant. This involves maintaining international brand standards, preparing financial reports, controlling costs, managing staffing, and coordinating budgets.

The key aspect of this job is motivating staff to provide excellent service during all shifts and developing a Promotions Calendar for F&B products. The Restaurant Operations Manager fosters a positive work environment while ensuring the successful implementation of departmental standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Trader Vic's international brand standards, including atmosphere, signature drinks, and culinary offerings.
  • Prepare monthly reports covering financial and product issues.
  • Control and analyze departmental costs to ensure performance against budget, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Manage staffing costs by preparing efficient work schedules in line with legal requirements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the departmental annual budget with the Director of Food & Beverage and work to achieve it by monitoring operations, revenue, and expenditure.
  • Oversee the implementation of standards as detailed in the departmental manual.
  • Adhere to opening, closing, and bill-paying procedures.
  • Conduct shift briefings to inform staff about VIPs, special occasions, and upselling opportunities.
  • Motivate staff to provide excellent service during all shifts.
  • Share guest feedback with the Chef and Food & Beverage Manager.
  • Develop and implement a Promotions Calendar for F&B products.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a 4–5-star hotel.
  • Excellent knowledge of beverages, including alcohol.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Micros operating systems.
  • Strong customer service skills.
