As a key player in our procurement team, the Assistant Purchasing Manager plays a vital role in sourcing and purchasing goods and services. This position requires strong negotiation and communication skills to work closely with vendors, monitor inventory levels, and negotiate pricing.

This role involves:

  • Assisting in evaluating suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability.
  • Processing purchase requisitions and creating purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors and assisting in onboarding new suppliers.
  • Evaluating vendor performance and addressing any issues related to delivery or quality.
  • Tracking supplier contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree holder in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles, preferably in the same industry.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills with solid organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Familiar with procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Able to collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to track stock levels and avoid overstock or shortages.
  • Capable of preparing regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost trends.
  • Supportive of audits and ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
