Title: Chief Executive Officer - One of OIA Entities
Summary of the Job: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for leading the strategic direction and growth of the organization. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, and key stakeholders to ensure the organization's success in delivering high-quality education and training.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Developing and executing the strategic plan for the organization, ensuring alignment with industry trends, governmental regulations, and the planned vision.
• Overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality academic programs ensuring they meet national and international standards.
• Developing the annual budget in conjunction with the AM, ensuring efficient use of resources, and identifying new revenue streams, including partnerships, grants, and sponsorships.
• Representing the organization at local, national, and international levels, fostering relationships with key stakeholders.
• Driving student enrollment through strategic marketing, branding, and outreach efforts, and ensuring a high level of student satisfaction and retention.
• Reporting to the Board of Directors, providing regular updates on the organization's performance, strategic initiatives, and key challenges.
• Carry out any other supplementary duties as required by the BOD.

• Strategic Planning: Ability to lead the organization into the future, this includes developing a clear vision, understanding market dynamics, optimizing resources, managing risks, and ensuring the effective execution of plans.
• Operational Excellence: Proven ability to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and ensure delivery of the highest standards of service.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of audiences, including students, faculty, staff, government bodies, and international partners.
• Negotiation and Influence: Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in securing funding, partnerships, and collaboration opportunities.
• Crisis Management: Demonstrated ability to navigate challenges and crises, particularly in an educational or high-stakes environment like aviation training.
• Innovation and Technology Savvy: Understanding of the role technology plays in education and training, including digital learning platforms, simulators, and other tools that enhance the student experience.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment, with sensitivity to the cultural, social, and regulatory factors affecting the respective sector in Oman and globally.
• Visionary Leadership: The CEO must be a visionary leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and manage a diverse team of staff and faculty members.
• Integrity and Ethics: Strong personal and professional integrity, with a commitment to ethical decision-making and transparency in all actions.
• Problem Solving: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in complex and rapidly changing environments.
• Adaptability and Resilience: Flexibility and resilience to cope with rapid changes in the education industries, as well as the ability to drive positive changes within the organization.
• Passion for Education: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to shaping the next generation of professionals.
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
• A master's degree in administration, Higher Education Management, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in aviation, such as Flight Instructor (Fixed wing), Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL), Air Operation Management, or similar, are a plus.
• Relevant certifications in aviation safety management.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• 10-15 years of progressively responsible experience in senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record of leadership and management in a complex organization, with at least 5 years of experience at an executive level.
• Strong background in financial management, including budgeting, resource allocation, and fundraising.
•Experience in engaging and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including government agencies, educational institutions, airlines, regulatory bodies, and corporate partners.
