Overview

Redefine the IoT experience with our innovative embedded Linux operating system. We seek a seasoned technical engineering manager to spearhead the development of cutting-edge technology, shape the future of Linux, and lead a distributed team of engineers.

Mission

Our mission is to empower organizations to build robust solutions across various fields including IoT, automotive, and aviation using next-generation secure embedded Linux operating systems. We focus on reliable and secure device recovery mechanisms that simplify and standardize field operations for fleets of heterogeneous appliances.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build and lead a distributed team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, feedback, and career development.
  2. Contribute directly to your team's goals by demonstrating sound engineering principles.
  3. Support the timely delivery of technical solutions to meet business needs.
  4. Manage expectations effectively with other engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
  5. Promote and develop modern, agile software development practices and organizational excellence.
  6. Foster a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
  7. Participate actively in leadership discussions and collaborate with other organizational leaders.
  8. Work remotely with biannual travel for company events, approximately two weeks per trip.

Requirements:

  1. Passionate about technology and working with talented people.
  2. Curious, adaptable, articulate, and responsible.
  3. Experienced in developing and mentoring software teams.
  4. Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about software development.
  5. Proven leadership, management, coaching, and mentoring skills in software development.
  6. Capable of planning and executing to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
  7. Experienced in agile development environments.
  8. Holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, STEM, or related field.
  9. Experienced with embedded software development.
  10. Proficient in Golang, C/C++, and Shell scripting.
  11. Solid understanding of Linux, preferably Debian or Ubuntu.
