Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sous Chef to join our team at the Mövenpick Hotel & Apartments Ghala Muscat. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver exceptional results, while maintaining a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Develop and implement new menu items and promotions to enhance the dining experience for our guests.
  • Monitor inventory levels, manage labor costs, and optimize kitchen operations to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other department heads to drive innovation, improve processes, and enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Recruit, train, and develop junior staff members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience and training.
  • Current certifications in food safety, first aid, and any other relevant industry-specific requirements.
