Business Development Role

The Business Development role is a key function within the organization, responsible for identifying, developing, and coordinating business opportunities that align with strategic goals. Key responsibilities include market research, stakeholder coordination, proposal development, and partnerships with operators, investors, and relevant entities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Contribution
  • Identify new business opportunities in line with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Develop business cases, presentations, and reports to support decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
  • Contribute to market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, partners, and commercial risks.
  • Implement departmental policies and procedures for consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
  • People
  • Collaborate with team members and departments to support business initiatives.
  • Support knowledge-sharing and engage with cross-functional teams for smooth project handovers.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve business development objectives and communication.
  • Operational
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professionalism and ethics.
  • Prepare and organize business development materials such as proposals, presentations, and partnership briefs.
  • Track and document business leads, partnerships, and negotiations via internal tools or CRM systems.
  • Conduct market research and compile data on competitors, trends, and investment opportunities.
  • Organize meetings, site visits, and workshops with potential clients or partners.
  • Follow up on action items from meetings to ensure progress and alignment.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams on proposals and contractual documents.
  • Maintain awareness of project plans, stakeholder expectations, and priorities.
  • Suggest process improvements to workflow and documentation practices.
Requirements

A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field is required.

No prior experience necessary; on-the-job training will be provided.
