Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

Job Description:

  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm and acknowledge purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accurate documentation.
  • Maintain open communication channels with suppliers to monitor shipments and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Generate and distribute status reports to stakeholders, highlighting project material requirements and supplier performance.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with internal teams, including procurement and customs, to ensure seamless cargo operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage contract and procurement archiving, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Support procurement and expediting activities in supply chain management, working closely with supervisors and team members to achieve objectives.
  • Participate in the resolution of material discrepancy disputes and supplier invoicing issues, applying analytical skills and problem-solving techniques to find effective solutions.
  • Communicate with QA/AC department to inspect materials and verify documentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Clear overage, shortage, damage, and non-conformance materials delivered by coordinating with material QA/QC and warehouse teams.
  • Develop schedules and expedite deliverables, prioritizing tasks based on project timelines and collaborating with proponents, local, and international purchasing groups.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to track delivery stages against provided timelines, expediting milestones where necessary.
  • Expedite approval of required drawings and technical documentation, ensuring smooth project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
  • Minimum three years' experience in procurement services, materials expediting, material management, logistical services, or project management.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiating skills, with fluent written and spoken English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong team player with ability to work independently, accept feedback, and provide constructive input.

Working Hours:

  • 10 hours per day, 6 days a week (Saturday to Thursday), including a 1-hour lunch break.
