Government Relations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Assistant Government Relations Manager supports the Human Resources team and Hotel Management in managing relationships with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.

This role involves monitoring legislative developments, preparing reports, coordinating meetings, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong research, writing, and analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulators, and public institutions.
  • Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments affecting the organization.
  • Support the development and execution of government relations strategies and advocacy campaigns.
  • Prepare briefing materials, policy summaries, position papers, presentations, and reports.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings, events, and forums with government stakeholders.
  • Track lobbying activities and ensure proper documentation for compliance.
  • Draft communications with government agencies and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Support internal departments (legal, compliance, operations) with government-related matters.
  • Maintain records of legislative activities and stakeholder contacts.
  • Research public policy issues and provide insights to management.
