Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced waitress to join our hospitality team. As a key member of our service staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every guest feels welcome and valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide personalized service to guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction at all times.
  2. Greet guests by name, if known, and offer seating preferences while maintaining social distancing guidelines.
  3. Explain the menu, including special dishes and daily specials, and make recommendations as needed.
  4. Ensure hot food is served hot and cold food is served cold, and maintain table cleanliness and side stations.
  5. Maintain table setups, re-setup tables as needed, and clear trays promptly.
  6. Follow strict hygiene standards and policies at all times.
  7. Check side stations according to established checklists, ensuring everything is properly stocked and organized.
  8. Assist with carrying trays for food and beverages, and for clearance.
  9. Prepare mise-en-place before finishing your shift, ensuring everything is tidy and clean.
  10. Drop soiled linen to laundry after each meal period.

Special Tasks:

  1. Manage linen par stock levels.
  2. Conduct monthly inventory checks.
  3. Properly maintain discard sheets.
  4. Coordinate with laundry for new linen items as needed.

General Requirements:

  1. Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues in a friendly, tactful, and professional manner.
  2. Provide information about hotel facilities and services.
  3. Attend all training sessions organized by HR or your department.
  4. Keep your supervisor informed of matters affecting your work or the hotel's reputation.
  5. Maintain a clean and tidy appearance according to grooming standards.
  6. Be flexible and adaptable to changes in responsibilities, work areas, and schedules.
  7. Ensure the environment remains tidy and well-maintained.
  8. Be reliable and punctual.
  9. Follow all reasonable instructions from your supervisor.
  10. Report incidents, accidents, and guest complaints during briefings.
  11. Record and share guest preferences, likes, and dislikes.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 2-4 years of experience as a waitress.
  2. Proficiency in Arabic or Tagalog language preferred.
  3. Experience in developing constructive working and interpersonal relationships.
  4. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  5. Team player.
  6. Good time management skills.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Active listening skills.
  9. Good physical condition.
  10. Customer-centric attitude.
  11. High school diploma; food safety training is a plus.
