Senior Audit Position

This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate expertise in auditing and assurance, leveraging a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and risk management principles. As a senior in this field, you will be responsible for building trust with stakeholders, delivering high-quality services, and adapting to new challenges.

  • Develop a deep understanding of service level expectations and individual stakeholder needs.
  • Deliver services that meet or exceed client expectations, while staying up-to-date on industry trends and regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of key statistics and industry matters related to the entity, ensuring a thorough understanding of the audit scope.
  • Effectively communicate with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and timely delivery of tasks.
  • Assist in tracking deliverables from component auditors, providing accurate and complete information as needed.
  • Link risks, controls, procedures, and findings across the EMS file, articulating the audit quality milestones and their contribution to overall audit quality.
  • Understand the rationale behind the timings of the audit plan, offering challenge where necessary to ensure efficient execution.
  • Prepare documentation by anticipating reviewer questions, distinguishing accounting judgments from auditing judgments.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a degree in accounting or a related field, preferably with a graduate degree.
  • Possess international accounting qualifications such as CA, ACCA, or CPA.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in statutory audit and accounting advisory (assurance), preferably with Big 4 audit firms.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan and manage engagements, supervise staff, and ensure deliverables meet work plan specifications and deadlines.
  • Be fluent in English, with preference given to bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).
