
Technical Director for Customer Engagement

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive our technical customer engagement efforts. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise and a passion for customer success.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and scale the Customer Engineering team, ensuring best-in-class technical support and customer success.
- Serve as the primary technical interface for key customer accounts, building strong relationships and ensuring high satisfaction.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting support to customers during integration and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Sales, and R&D to represent the voice of the customer and influence product direction.
- Define and implement processes and tools that streamline customer onboarding and support.
- Build and manage a high-performing, geographically distributed team of applications and systems engineers.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in applications engineering, systems engineering, or other customer-facing technical roles.
- Prior experience with LiDAR, sensor technologies, or embedded systems is highly desirable.
- Proven track record in building and leading high-performing technical teams, preferably in a startup or remote-office environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently and effectively with customers and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to resolving complex technical challenges.
- Experience working with international customers and managing support across global time zones.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with automotive, robotics, or industrial automation industries.
- Familiarity with customer success metrics and CRM tools.
- Multilingual abilities or international work experience is a plus.
