Job Purpose

  • Conduct and manage audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within an organization, implementing a proactive approach to mitigate these risks.
  • Ensure timely data entry in the Audit Management System, adhering to quality standards and professional regulations.
  • Follow-up audit findings to resolve them promptly and professionally, ensuring that all stakeholders are satisfied with the outcome.
  • Support and maintain the Audit Management System to ensure its efficiency and effectiveness, continuously improving processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct IT audits of various entities independently or as part of a team, utilizing expertise in IT auditing principles and practices.
  • Develop audit programs as required, taking into account risk assessments and audit objectives, ensuring that all aspects are comprehensively addressed.
  • Review assigned areas in audits, including assessing risks and implemented controls, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations.
  • Maintain audit work papers and information in the Audit Management System, adhering to quality standards and professional regulations.
  • Complete tasks efficiently within agreed timelines, providing well-drafted audit findings to the Audit Manager for reporting, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Obtain conclusive responses for audit issues from auditees, addressing any concerns or discrepancies, and write audit issues and prepare draft reports according to report writing methodology.
  • Maintain information, evidence, and audit workpapers as the audit progresses in the Audit Management System, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow-up status of pending and overdue issues, validating business reporting of status to close them on time, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Support/undertake special or ad-hoc assignments outside the audit plan as directed, showcasing adaptability and flexibility.
  • Support maintaining and up-keeping audit management system with reviews, system enhancements, and updates, staying current with industry developments and best practices.

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • University Degree or Diploma preferably in Information Technology, possessing a solid foundation in IT principles and practices.
  • Other professional certifications like CISA, CRISC, CISSP, MCSE, and CCNA, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the field of IT auditing.
