Position: Barista (Specialty Coffee)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Barista to provide exceptional specialty coffee experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of coffee beans, roast profiles, and brewing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve a range of specialty espresso-based and filter coffee beverages to a high standard
  • Maintain coffee equipment and ensure cleanliness of the coffee station
  • Grind beans, adjust brew parameters, and dial in espresso shots for optimal flavor
  • Educate guests on coffee origins, brewing methods, and tasting notes
  • Monitor inventory of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other café supplies; place orders as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth café operations
  • Uphold all food safety and hygiene standards
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a barista in a specialty coffee shop or café
  • Deep knowledge of coffee beans, roast profiles, and brewing techniques
  • Strong machine-maintenance skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer-service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
