Nutrition Field Operations Manager Job Description

The role of the Nutrition Field Operations Manager involves overseeing the implementation of detailing activities related to Nestle's Infant Nutrition products among medical professionals in a given area. The aim is to achieve this goal in the most efficient and compliant manner possible, adhering to the WHO Code/Nestle instructions, national codes, and local laws.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • - Developing an action plan with quarterly reviews to establish detailing objectives for the area and prioritize resources accordingly.
  • - Monitoring and reviewing territory activities through CRM, along with other data sources on HCP demographics, to identify opportunities and propose yearly strategies and field force size.
  • - Budgeting foreseeable expenses, especially those involving special functions, and ensuring proper requisition, allocation, and distribution of materials for the team.
  • - Reviewing classification of healthcare professionals by medical delegates according to type and ensuring fair distribution of coverage.
  • - Ensuring overall consistency of databases in liaison with the Field Operations Manager.
  • - Maximizing efficiency and effectiveness of the team of medical delegates, including transfers, sourcing, and actively participating in recruitment processes.
  • - Motivating, coaching, guiding, and evaluating MDs' performance by validating the effectiveness of programs on detailing skills, product knowledge, and presentation skills.
  • - Organizing and conducting cycle meetings to instruct medical delegates on new literature/promotion materials and updates on new developments in nutrition, products, and regulations.
  • - Gaining insights into product availability and taking appropriate actions related to HCP communications and activities.
  • - Monitoring and reporting competitors' activities in the territory and proposing action plans accordingly.
  • - Personally visiting key opinion leaders and important stakeholders in the assigned geographical scope.
  • - Organizing and coordinating scientific lectures on nutrition-related topics with medical/paramedical groups.
  • - Ensuring strict adherence and compliance, as well as that of Medical Delegates and their activities, to the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk substitutes and Nestle Instructions and local country codes.
  • - Ensuring Medical Field team complies with Nestle's requirements not to seek contact with or give advice to pregnant women or mothers of infants and young children regarding Infant Formula in their business capacity.

Requirements:

  • - Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science/Medicine/Nutrition/Biology degree.
  • - Minimum 2-3 years leading a team with a solid achievement record.
