Optical Network Solutions Specialist

As a skilled Optics Resident Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in addressing complex technical challenges within service delivery while collaborating across diverse teams. You will work alongside engineering, technical support, and operations personnel to ensure seamless integration and optimization of optical network technologies. Your analytical skills will directly contribute to improving customer satisfaction and driving revenue through innovative solutions.
About the Technical Aspects
You will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis on signal impairments, modulation/demodulation techniques, and signal structures to enhance network performance. Additionally, you will design and implement innovative solutions for optical network technologies, leveraging your expertise in fiber types and signal impairments. Furthermore, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for complex problem-solving in service delivery, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
About the Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include leading small-scale projects focused on network integration and optimization within budget and timelines. You will also provide mentorship and training to junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing. Moreover, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address escalated issues and recommend serviceability improvements.
About the Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred). You should also have 3+ years of network integration and technical support experience with optical network technologies. In addition, you should possess expertise in fiber types and signal impairments, as well as strong knowledge of modulation/demodulation techniques and signal structures.
