The Senior Engineering Operations Manager plays a vital role in driving the success of our facilities management team. This position oversees all aspects of engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the physical integrity, safety, and efficiency of our buildings and systems.

This leadership role involves directing and supervising daily activities of the engineering and maintenance team, as well as overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all hotel systems, equipment, and facilities.

  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support smooth hotel operations and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues and respond promptly to guest requests and emergencies.

Key responsibilities include:

Operational Leadership

  • Plan and manage capital improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades to enhance the overall quality of our facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment logs, and compliance inspections.
  • Serve as the point of contact for external inspectors, contractors, and utility providers.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including fire, health, safety, and environmental codes.
  • Conduct regular safety training for engineering staff and oversee adherence to organizational safety procedures.
  • Recruit, train, and develop engineering team members to maintain high service and performance standards.

Requirements include:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Experience with energy management systems and sustainability practices preferred.
  • Working knowledge of safety and compliance standards (OSHA, fire codes, etc.).
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
