
Chief Strategic Officer

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving strategic growth and success. They will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the organization's long-term strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and implement the overall company strategy to achieve business plans.
- Deliver budgets, business plans, and forecasts for operations, production, sales, and support functions.
- Create and communicate the organization's vision, mission, and overall direction.
- Lead the development and implementation of the overall organization's strategy.
- Formulate and implement the strategic plan that guides the direction of the business or organization.
- Ensure each strategic goal is measurable and outcomes can be described numerically.
- Design and modify the organization structure to facilitate and support operations in accordance with the established direction.
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences, providing solutions to ensure company survival and growth.
Board Administration and Support:
- Liaise between management and the Board.
- Solicit advice and guidance from the Board of Directors when necessary.
- Ensure Directors are properly informed, and sufficient information is provided to enable the Directors to form appropriate judgments.
- Determine the date, time, and location of the annual meeting of shareholders and develop the agenda for the meeting.
- Develop board agendas and request special meetings of the board as needed.
Financial, Tax, Risk, and Facilities Management:
- Recommend yearly budget for Board approval and prudently manage organizational resources within those guidelines according to current laws and regulations.
- Enforce adherence to legal guidelines and in-house policies to maintain the company's legality and business ethics.
- Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions or improvements.
- Ensure expenditures are within the authorized annual budget.
- Assess principal risks of the Company and ensure these risks are being monitored and managed.
- Ensure effective internal controls and management information systems are in place.
- Ensure the Company has appropriate systems to conduct activities both lawfully and ethically.
People Management:
- Lead and provide strategic direction to key stakeholders.
- Staffing plan to meet scheduled production requirements.
- Ensure an optimized workforce in terms of quantity and quality.
- Contribute to the team by sharing information that may be useful or important.
- Create a fun, supportive work environment.
- Participate in management and supervisory meetings as required.
HSE Management:
- Ensure the workplace meets all legal expectations and actively supports occupational health, safety, and Environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred, along with MBA and professional certificates in operations/business management. The ideal candidate should have overall experience of 10-12 years preferably in ready-mix/concrete industry.
