Payment Scheme Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Payment Scheme Specialist to join our team. This is an urgent requirement for a Technical Lead - Payment Applications (Domestic Card Scheme Program) position in Oman.

About the Role

This role involves managing payment scheme projects and CR as a technical point of contact, including debit cards, credit cards, and POS acquiring applications. You will provide necessary support to channels, middleware, and other systems integrated with payment applications.

  • Manage payment scheme projects & CR as a technical point of contact.
  • Provide necessary support to channels, middleware, and other systems integrated with payment applications.
  • Lead the bank's initiative for domestic card schemes from a technology perspective.
  • Manage testing specifically SIT and also provide support during other testing phases of the projects including UAT, go-live, and post-go-live support.
Main Responsibilities
  • Manage technical project deliverables in line with the project plan.
  • Record and manage technical project issues and escalate where necessary.
  • Manage skills and techniques including people, communications, risk & change management, with a strong focus on operational excellence.
  • Engage in controlled deployment of patches, fixes, and other changes on payment applications to achieve well-documented and controlled deployments.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in application support, with at least 10 years in payment systems.
  • Proven experience in handling domestic card scheme programs, preferably in the GCC market.
  • Strong knowledge of payment protocols, APIs, and integration technologies.
