Food and Beverage Server Job

We are seeking a skilled food and beverages server to join our team at Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an exceptional dining experience with impeccable service and attention to detail.

  • Focus on guest satisfaction by meeting and serving them with empathy and care. Be willing to listen and support them based on IKEA values.
  • Lead by example as a good ambassador for the store in all interactions with guests. Give them a reason to return repeatedly.
  • View the store through the eyes of customers. Have a daily dialogue to get continuous feedback about their experiences and learn more about their needs and wants. Act based on their input.
  • Empower and encourage the team to take immediate action to meet guest needs and provide input on how to improve meetings with them.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proven leadership abilities, and a customer-focused approach. They will also possess a strong knowledge of culinary or food service industry and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities:
  • To perform tasks requiring prolonged standing duration
  • Ensure compliance to Food Safety and Hygiene practices
  • Attend to customers' needs and requests in a pleasant manner
  • Ensure products are in perfect condition and correctly priced at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards at all times
  • Fast food/Café experience and able to perform manual chores

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of food service experience, preferably in a high-volume business
  • An interest and knowledge of culinary or food service industry
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment
