Job Title: Medical Imaging Professional

Qualifications: Any Bachelor's degree, Doctor of Surgery (MS) in Radiology

Responsibilities:
  1. Work within hospital guidelines and protocols.
  2. Directly report to the radiology coordinator or department head.
  3. Oversee junior radiography staff and supervise their work.
  4. Assist radiologists in special procedures and perform routine radiography.
  5. Conduct CT scans, ensuring patient safety, coordinating workflow, and managing study documentation.
  6. Assist in IV contrast administration under radiologist supervision.
  7. Communicate clearly with patients and provide necessary guidance.
  8. Prepare and administer oral or rectal contrast as required.
  9. Take images or duplicate CDs as necessary.
  10. Share important findings with referring physicians or radiologists to inform patient care decisions.
  11. Streamline patient flow by optimizing room allocation and resource usage.
  12. Train junior staff in their duties.
  13. Perform routine and specialized X-ray examinations within established guidelines.
  14. Participate in departmental schedules, which may include holidays and on-call duties.
  15. Undertake additional responsibilities related to the role, including documentation and reporting.
  16. Pursue ongoing education and training as directed by the HOD or designated consultant.
  17. Engage in quality improvement initiatives.
  18. Accept further responsibilities assigned by the HOD or administration.
  19. Contribute to hospital-wide quality initiatives and serve on quality committees if chosen.

Work is carried out within established policies, principles, and objectives, with primary guidance focused on policy matters.
