We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Drilling Operations Manager to oversee and manage all drilling, well completion, and workover operations in the oil and gas industry. This is a critical role that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on health, safety, and environmental performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all drilling, well completion, and workover operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective activities. This will involve preparing and approving drilling programs, ensuring required materials are available, and keeping abreast of advancements in drilling technology to enhance efficiency.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Drilling Operations Manager will lead safety and environmental performance across all drilling operations through active safety leadership and adherence to company HSE policies and statutory regulations. They will also review and approve operational and engineering reports to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

HSE Responsibilities
  • Lead safety drills, meetings, and incident reporting in line with procedures.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to safety regulations and company standards.
  • Implement Job Hazard Analyses (JHA) and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes for all non-routine tasks.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years' drilling experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Valid IWCF Level 4 Surface (or equivalent) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling technology, HSE principles, and MENA regional operations (Oman experience preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute projects effectively, manage conflicting demands, and maintain a balance of cost, time, and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
