Job Description:

The role of Senior Risk Management Specialist entails providing end-to-end subject matter expertise and execution capabilities across the domains of technology risk management, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance.

This position will support the development and implementation of frameworks, policies, and practices that protect digital infrastructure and ensure operational resilience in alignment with the client's mission, vision, values, and strategies.

  • Risk Management:
    • Identify, assess, and monitor risks related to information security, including operational, infrastructure, and compliance risks.
    • Conduct periodic risk assessments, internal audits, and gap analyses to maintain a centralized risk register and ensure timely mitigation, acceptance, transfer, or avoidance strategies for each identified risk.
    • Collaborate with IT, Cybersecurity, and Enterprise Architecture teams to define and implement control frameworks aligned to ISO 27005, NIST RMF, and COBIT principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Risk Management:
    • Design and implement risk management frameworks to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with technology, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk-based control frameworks aligned with industry standards.
  • Disaster Recovery (DR Planning):
    • Develop and implement comprehensive DR plans aligned with ISO 22301, ensuring business continuity and minimizing downtime in the event of a disaster.
    • Define business impact assessments, RTOs, and RPOs for critical systems and applications to ensure seamless recovery.
  • Compliance Management:
    • Ensure compliance with national regulations, global frameworks, and internal policies related to data protection, privacy, and information security.
    • Prepare for internal and external audits by maintaining a compliance evidence repository and ensuring traceability and accountability.
  • Incident Response:
    • Act as a core member of the Incident Response Team for IDS-related incidents, helping establish and maintain response playbooks for cyberattacks, data breaches, outages, and system compromises.
    • Support forensic investigations and root cause analysis following incidents and lead post-incident reviews to implement lessons learned into the risk and DR frameworks.
  • Training and Awareness:
    • Design and deliver training programs on risk management, DR awareness, and compliance best practices for teams and stakeholders.
    • Drive a culture of risk ownership, security awareness, and policy compliance through regular training sessions and workshops.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay up-to-date with global trends in cybersecurity, regulatory technology, and digital risk to propose enhancements to current systems and processes.
    • Lead process maturity assessments using CMMI or similar frameworks and develop improvement roadmaps to enhance risk management and compliance capabilities.
