At the forefront of hotel operations lies a vital role that demands exceptional leadership and attention to detail. As Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for establishing and overseeing the Housekeeping department from its inception, ensuring seamless execution and impeccable standards across all facets of cleanliness.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational skills, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to effectively manage and train a team. They must also be adept at coordinating with various departments to guarantee operational readiness and ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently meet the highest expectations.

The Executive Housekeeper's duties include participating in pre-opening planning and budgeting, recruiting and training staff, designing efficient workflows and procedures, managing inventory and supplies, and setting up cleaning schedules and room assignment systems.

This role is instrumental in maintaining an environment of luxury, efficiency, and guest satisfaction according to brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Opening Phase:
    • Participate in comprehensive planning and budgeting.
    • Design and implement effective housekeeping workflows, policies, and procedures.
    • Manage the selection, purchasing, and inventory of essential items.
    • Recruit, train, and onboard staff members to meet brand standards and local regulations.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational readiness.
    • Establish cleaning schedules and room assignment systems.
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Lead, train, and manage the housekeeping and laundry team.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
  • Monitor and maintain departmental budgets, inventories, and cost controls.
  • Implement quality control measures and conduct regular inspections.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Handle guest complaints and feedback professionally to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Front Office and Maintenance for room readiness and preventive maintenance.
  • Prepare and submit departmental reports, including occupancy-related forecasts and performance metrics.
Fostering a Positive Work Environment:
  • Cultivate a positive and motivated work environment through training, communication, and recognition.
  • Regularly monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback and development opportunities.
  • Evaluate staffing levels to ensure they align with operational needs and occupancy.
